34. PERMANENT ADDITIONS TO THE FLEET Approve a permanent addition to the fleet of seven Chevy Malibu sedans to be used by the Juvenile Probation Department (JPD). An increase in the standard probation population in FY2023, combined with contact standards adopted for high-risk youth adopted in 2021, necessitate the addition of the requested vehicles. The Judicial Branch can self-fund the vehicle purchase in FY2024. The estimated cost is $33,000 for each vehicle, for a total cost of $231,000 which includes taxes and onboarding costs. As permanent additions to the County vehicle fleet, the Judicial Branch is requesting that future replacements be addressed by County Equipment Services through established policies and procedures. Because we have been made aware that these vehicles may not be received in FY2024, the Branch will be submitting a FY2025 above baseline request for a non-recurring contingency budget line item for $231,000 for the purchase of these vehicles. That funding would only be utilized if the vehicles are not received prior to June 30, 2024. Expenditure Impact By FY: FY2024 General Fund Operating Budget: $231,000.00 which includes taxes and onboarding costs. (C-27-24-002-X-00)

35. APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT FOR JUVENILE PROBATION In accordance with A.R.S. 42-17106(B), approve the following adjustments to the FY 2025 budget: 1. Increase expenditure authority in the Juvenile Probation (D270) General Fund (100) Non Recurring (NRNP) budget by $31,000.00. 2. Decrease the expenditure authority in the Non Departmental (D470) General Fund (100) Non Recurring (NRNP) budget in the line “Judicial Branch FY 25 Requests Forecasted Purchase in FY 24” (4711) by $31,000.00. On 01/10/2024 the Board approved a permanent fleet addition of seven Chevy Malibu’s (C-27-24-002-X-00) to be used by the Juvenile Probation Department (JPD). The Judicial Branch was able to self-fund most of the vehicles in FY 2024 and requested FY 2025 General Fund Non Recurring contingency funding of $231,000 if the vehicles were not received in FY 2024 as anticipated. There is one vehicle that is going to be received in FY 2025 and the department would like to use their approved contingency funding to purchase this. These actions will have a county-wide net impact of zero and they do not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenue duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. 42-17105.
