35. IGA WITH MARICOPA COUNTY SPECIAL HEALTH CARE DISTRICT DBA MARICOPA INTEGRATED HEALTH SYSTEM (MIHS) FOR LABORATORY, EMPLOYEE HEALTH AND LAUNDRY SERVICES Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County Special Health Care District d.b.a. Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS) and Maricopa County through the Office of Medical Examiner, in the not-to-exceed amount of $30,000. The purpose of this Intergovernmental Agreement is to establish guidelines for the provision of services to OME by DISTRICT including, but not limited to, services provided by the Maricopa Medical Center (“MMC”), and for the payment by County to DISTRICT for such services. This Intergovernmental Agreement is effective from July 1, 2008 until June 30, 2009. MIHS is currently providing three services to the Office of the Medical Examiner. Specific toxicology testing that is not completed "in-house", laundry service for the autopsy/exam linens and employee health services which includes pre-placement physicals, medical job fitness assessments, medical and preventive care and on-site TB testing.
