35. APPLY AND ACCEPT GRANT FUNDING FOR PURCHASE OF A LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPH/MASS SPECTROMETER/MASS SPECTROMETER Approve the application and acceptance of grant funds from National Institute of Justice-FY10 Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grant, in the not-to-exceed amount of $175,000 for the purpose of purchasing a Liquid Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer/Mass Spectrometer (LC/MS/MS). The grant award begins on October 1, 2010 and ends on September 30, 2011. Authorize the Chairman to sign all documents related to these grant funds, as applicable. The grant allows a 0% rate for indirect costs. The Maricopa County Office of Medical Examiner's indirect cost rate is 29.2%. All grant funds are being used for capital expenditures and are not subject to indirect cost recovery. The overall grant budget will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate this grant through a future reconciliation. (C-29-11-001-G-00)
