55. GRANT FUNDS FROM THE PAUL COVERDELL FORENSIC SCIENCE IMPROVEMENT GRANT Approve the application and acceptance of grant funds from Arizona Criminal Justice Commission, (CV-15-02), in the not-to-exceed amount of $7,425 for the purpose of court qualified and proficiency tested personnel travel and training. The grant award begins on October 1, 2015 and ends on September 30, 2016. Authorize the Chairman to sign all documents related to these grant funds, as applicable. The grant allows a 0% rate for indirect costs, or $0 which may be incurred by the Office of Medical Examiner or Maricopa County for the administration of this grant. The Maricopa County Department of Finance has calculated the Office of Medical Examiner's composite indirect cost rate at 23.60%, or $1,752.30. The recoverable indirect cost of administering this grant is $0; the non-recoverable indirect cost is $1,752.30. Upon receipt of funds and pursuant to ARS §42-17106(B), approve revenue and expenditure appropriation adjustments to the Office of Medical Examiner (290) Medical Examiner Grant Fund (224) associated with the grant in the amount of $7,425 for FY2016. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditure of the funds is not prohibited by the budget law. This budget adjustment does not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. (C-29-15-005-G-00)

35. AMENDMENT TO GRANT FUNDS FROM ARIZONA CRIMINAL JUSTICE COMMISSION FOR THE PAUL COVERDELL FORENSIC SCIENCE IMPROVEMENT GRANT Approve Amendment No. 1 to an Agreement between Arizona Criminal Justice Commission and Maricopa County through the Office of Medical Examiner in the not-to-exceed amount of $8,406. This amendment is funded by a grant from Arizona Criminal Justice Commission, CV15-15-002. The purpose of this amendment is to increase the amount of the grant award. This amendment is effective from October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement remain in full force and effect. The grant allows a 0% rate for indirect costs, or $0 which may be incurred by the Office of Medical Examiner or Maricopa County for the administration of this grant. The Maricopa County Department of Finance has calculated the Office of Medical Examiner's composite indirect cost rate at 23.60%, or $231.52. The recoverable indirect cost of administering this grant is $0; the non-recoverable indirect cost is $231.52. Upon receipt of funds and pursuant to ARS §42-17106(B), approve revenue and expenditure appropriation adjustments to the Office of Medical Examiner (290) Medical Examiner Grant Fund (224) associated with the grant in the amount of $8,406.00 for FY 2016.
