37. GRANT FUND APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT Pursuant to ARS 42-17106, approve an appropriation adjustment resulting in a net increase to revenue and expenditure of $40,000 in FY 2016-2017 Medical Examiner (D290) Grant Fund (224) Operating (OPER). This increase is the result of the grant reconciliation process and is necessary due to an increase in grant funding in Fiscal Year FY 2016-2017. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation and, therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. This budget adjustment does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to ARS 42-17105. The grant allows a 0% rate for indirect costs, or $0 which may be incurred by the Office of Medical Examiner or Maricopa County for the administration of this grant. The Maricopa County Department of Finance has calculated the Office of Medical Examiner's composite indirect cost rate at 21.40%, or $8,560. The recoverable indirect cost of administering this grant is $0; the non-recoverable indirect cost is $8,560. (C-29-17-006-M-00)
