38. FIRST AMENDED AND RESTATED IGA WITH CITY OF PEORIA Approve the First Amended and Restated Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County (County) and the City of Peoria (Peoria) as originally approved by both Parties on December 20, 2006 (“2006 Agreement”) (C-30-07-007-2-00) for shared responsibilities at Lake Pleasant Regional Park (LPRP). The term of the First Amended and Restated IGA is for a period of fourteen years with two additional renewal options of ten years each upon mutual agreement of County and Peoria. There is no financial impact. The County and Peoria now desire and agree to amend and restate the 2006 Agreement in its entirety for the purposes of reassigning to Peoria responsibility for the administration and enforcement of development requirements for private or commercial development by the County’s lessees, concessionaires, licensees, and agents that occurs within LPRP and to further detail Peoria’s responsibilities in regard to the provision of fire protection and emergency medical services.
