40. FUNDING FROM NATIONAL RECREATION AND PARKS ASSOCIATION/NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR ARCHERY PROGRAM Accept the funding from National Recreation and Parks Association/National Alliance for the Development of Archery, in the amount of $500.00. These funds are awarded to grow and enhance existing archery programming for youth. The award program will end on December 31, 2009. Authorize the Parks Director to sign all documents related to these funds, as applicable. The Maricopa County Department of Finance has calculated the Parks and Recreation Department's indirect cost rate at 42.5%. The indirect cost of this grant would be $212.50. The Parks and Recreation Department request a waiver to recoup any indirect costs associated with acceptance of the funds and requests that 100% of the $500 award be utilized for direct expenses to enhance archery programming for youth. The Parks Department can absorb administrative costs within their FY10 budget. The National Recreation and Park Association, in partnership with National Alliance for the Development of Archery initiated the After School Archery Program grant to expand new and existing archery programs for youth through park and recreation agencies. Usery Mountain Regional Park will use these funds for certification and equipment for an after school archery program. There are no matching funds required. (C-30-10-001-G-00)
