50. JOB ORDER CONTRACT WITH NORTHWEST WOODLAND SERVICES, INC. Approve a Contract between Northwest Woodland Services, Inc (HQ 10-002) and Maricopa County through the Parks and Recreation Department, in the not-to-exceed amount of $1,500,000. The purpose of this Contract is to serve as the contractor for the pre-construction and construction services phase of the Maricopa and Sun Circle Regional Trail Segments. This Contract is effective from November 18, 2009 until June 30, 2012. This JOC shall be effective for a period of three years (FY 2010 – FY 2012). The Contractor shall be paid a total fee not-to-exceed $1,500,000 over three years. Job Order Contracting is authorized by Article 5 of the Procurement Code to enable the County to expediently complete smaller construction projects using pre-qualified contractors with structured pricing basis. The Parks and Recreation Department develops the scope of work and approves the contractor’s cost proposal prior to the contractor starting work on a specific job order project. (C-30-10-010-5-00)
