7. PROPOSED REVISIONS OF MARICOPA COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT USER FEE SCHEDULE Pursuant to A.R.S. §11-251.08, convene the scheduled public hearing, to solicit comments and adopt the proposed changes to the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department User Fee Schedule. Upon Board approval, this item will become effective October 6, 2010. The Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department, with consultation from the Parks and Recreation Commission has determined the necessity to revise its user fee schedule, to add reservation cancellation and transfer fees to the User Fee Schedule to pay for the new electronic Point of Sale and Campground/Day-use Reservation System. These fees will help to recover the cost of operation and maintenance to run the new electronic system. In addition, the Department also requests the adoption of an amplified music fee to help offset the costs associated with staffing to monitor amplified music/sound events within the parks.
