35. PURCHASE OF VEHICLE AND TRAILERS Approve a capital freeze exception for the purchase of one all terrain vehicle and two trailers each capable of transporting ten kayaks. This will result in a net increase to the County fleet of two vehicles. The all terrain vehicle is a replacement vehicle of similar type. The Office of Management and Budget, Equipment Services and Maricopa County Parks and Recreation have analyzed the need for this vehicle to be replaced, based on mile, age and maintenance costs, and concluded that it should be replaced. This purchase will result in a net increase of zero to the County Fleet. The two trailers are required as part of the purchase of 20 kayaks for Lake Pleasant and Desert Outdoor Center. This purchase will result in a net increase of two vehicles to the County fleet. (C-30-12-006-V-00)
