38. CHALLENGE COST SHARE AGREEMENT WITH U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOREST SERVICE FOR TRAIL MAINTENANCE AT USERY MOUNTAIN REGIONAL PARK Approve the Challenge Cost Share Agreement between Maricopa County and the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service Tonto National Forest, Mesa Ranger District for maintenance of trails that service both Usery Mountain Regional Park and the Tonto National Forest (“Trails”). The purpose of this Challenge Cost Share Agreement (“Agreement”) is to document the cooperation between the parties to ensure that the Pass Mountain and Wind Cave trails located at Usery Mountain Regional Park within the Tonto National Forest are appropriately maintained, marked, administered and managed for the purposes for serving public recreation needs, safety and preservation of the environment. This Agreement replaces the Challenge Cost Share Agreement (C-30-12-041-3-00), executed September 28, 2012, that expired January 31, 2017. The term of the Agreement is from the date of last signature through December 31, 2017 unless extended by all properly authorized signatory officials. The financial plan is revised yearly.
