9. APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT FOR PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT FUND 230 Approve the acceptance of $80,000 in grant funding from the Arizona State Parks and Trails Agency, for the purpose of the Motorized and Non-Motorized Recreational Trails Program (RTP). This grant provides funds for the Goat Camp Trail Rehabilitation Project #471812. The Parks & Recreation indirect cost recovery rate for FY2018 is 30.3%. Total indirect costs are estimated to be $24,240 and are not recoverable. Upon receipt of funds and pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17106(B), approve revenue and expenditure appropriation adjustments to the Parks and Recreation Department (D300) Parks and Recreation Grants Fund (230) Operating (OPER), in the amount of $40,000 for FY2018. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. This action does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. Maricopa County Parks and Recreation and Arizona State Parks and Trails entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (C-30-13-001-3) to mutually further the development and maintenance of trails and support facilities. The estimated cost of the project is $96,004. The project is funded through the Recreational Trails Program in the amount of $80,000. Maricopa County Parks and Recreation is providing up to $16,004 in equipment and in-kind match. The matching funding can be absorbed in the existing FY18 Fund 241, Department D300 budget.
