67. IGA WITH THE CITY OF PEORIA FOR SHARED RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, PROGRAMS, MARKETING, AND SPECIAL EVENTS AT LAKE PLEASANT REGIONAL PARK Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County and the City of Peoria that will allow the County and City to work in harmony for the common purpose of providing sustainable outdoor recreation opportunities in the Lake Pleasant Regional Park and educating the Public. This Agreement will enable the County, through its Parks and Recreation Department to coordinate with the City of Peoria, through its Community Services Department, on an individual basis, to conduct defined recreational opportunities, programs, and events, including but not limited to marketing/promotions that will benefit the public and the community in support of the Parks’ mission through responsible stewardship, to provide the quality parks, trails, programs, services and experiences that energize visitors and create life-long users and advocates. Opportunities or programs will be developed and approved by the County for each project. The City recognizes potential impacts and conflicts with its program types and those offered by the County and its Concessionaires, and agrees to dedicate 10% of gross program revenues on city-sponsored programs where offering such programs is deemed an impact to the County by its Director. All consideration of program impacts, revenue projections and existing county concessionaire contractual obligations will be detailed and addressed in each Project Scope. The agreement takes effect upon the date of the last signature of the approval and shall remain in effect for no more than five (5) years from the date of execution. This agreement shall automatically renew for one (1) additional five (5) year period thereafter, unless terminated sooner. (C-30-14-003-M-00)
