57. APPLICATION SUBMITTAL TO ARIZONA STATE LAND DEPARTMENT FOR RIGHT OF WAY ON STATE TRUST LANDS FOR DAISY MOUNTAIN TRAILS Approve submittal of application to the Arizona State Land Department for an Application of right of Way on Arizona State Trust Land for a four foot wide recreation trail for Daisy Mountain Trails. The County (through its Parks and Recreation Department) requires a four foot wide Right of Way for the entire length of approximately 13.3 miles of existing non-authorized trails and a one acre trailhead site on Arizona State Trust Land property. The existing undesignated trails cross a portion of Arizona State Trust Land on Daisy Mountain joining at a saddle and continuing to the summit of the mountain. The trails crossing the Arizona State Trust Land are not legally authorized for public use. The easternmost trail begins at the 7th Street and Zorillo Drive alignments and the U.S. Forest Service boundary heading west toward the summit. The westernmost trail begins at the Circle Mountain Road and Rivera Drive intersection heading east toward the summit. The trail system also includes several loops and a trail along a powerline corridor. This trail is part of Segment 62 of the Maricopa County Regional Trail System and provides for a planned future connection to the Maricopa Trail. Additionally, authorize the Chairman to execute and process the subject application documents on behalf of the Maricopa County (Supervisorial District 3) (C-30-17-001-M-00)
