52. IGA WITH CITY OF SCOTTSDALE FOR MARICOPA TRAIL SEGMENTS 23, 24 AND 25 Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the City of Scottsdale (City) and Maricopa County (County) for portions of Maricopa Trail Segments 23, 24 and 25 (Trail). This IGA will establish a partnership between the County and City for the County to provide Maricopa Trail signage or other route markers and support the City in future efforts to secure funding for Trail improvements. The City will install Maricopa Trail signage or other route markers, maintain the Trails and provide emergency services as needed along the Trails within the City’s boundaries. These Trail sections will provide an alternative transportation route through the east valley including the City that connects Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area to McDowell Mountain Regional Park and to Usery Mountain Regional Park. This IGA also provides for the Board to delegate to the Director or designee the ability to make administrative decisions under the IGA. This item is located in Supervisorial District No. 2.
