17. DONATIONS FOR PARKS AND RECREATION Accept the restricted monetary donation of $1,000 from Donna Rice for a memorial bench to be placed within McDowell Mountain Regional Park and $1,000 from Charlotte Peters for a memorial bench to be placed in Lake Pleasant Regional Park. Accept the restricted monetary donation of $550 from Janice LaBranche for White Tank Regional Park. Accept the restricted non-cash donation valued at $7,688.70 from Bruce Stuart, owner of The Software Studio, for the development of an app for the Department’s 100 Mile Challenge. This app will allow participants to register, track progress and receive notifications directly from the Parks Department on their mobile device. Donation revenue funds are deposited into Fund 243 as they are received. Donation funds are not local revenues for the purpose of constitutional expenditure limitations and therefore expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The approval of this action requested does not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. (C-30-19-009-D-00)
