47. MCDOWELL MOUNTAIN REGIONAL PARK MASTER PLAN UPDATE 2019-2039 Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the McDowell Mountain Regional Park Master Plan Update 2019-2039. McDowell Mountain Regional Park entered the Maricopa County park system in 1958 with a lease of 18,273 acres of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land via the Recreation and Public Purposes Act (R&PP). This master plan update will be the first update to occur since the original plan was completed in 1967. A number of components of the original master plan were not implemented due to new public demands, changing use patterns, and development and operating cost constraints. This update will bring those disparities back into alignment and guide appropriate future development of the park. The Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission provided their input throughout the process and unanimously voted to forward the document to the Board of Supervisors for approval at their March 19, 2019, regularly scheduled meeting. The BLM reviewed the plan and determined it to be consistent with the R&PP per their letter dated March 28, 2019. This item is located in Supervisory District No. 2. (C-30-19-016-M-00)
