37. MOU WITH ARIZONA GAME AND FISH COMMISSION AND OTHERS FOR CONSERVATION OF THE BALD EAGLE IN ARIZONA Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with Arizona Game and Fish Commission and various other entities for Conservation of the Bald Eagle in Arizona. Approve a Memorandum of Understanding with Arizona Game and Fish Commission, Arizona Public Service, US Bureau of Land Management (Arizona), Bureau of Reclamation (Lower Colorado Region, Phoenix Area Office), 56th Fighter Wing @ Luke Air Force Base (Department of Defense), Maricopa County, National Park Service (Intermountain Region), Salt River Project, US Army Corps of Engineers (South Pacific Division), US Fish & Wildlife Service (Southwest Region), US Forest Service (Southwestern Region) and other signatories for the Conservation of the Bald Eagle. The agreement takes effect upon the date of the last signature of the approval and shall remain in effect for no more than five years from the date of execution. The County can withdraw from the agreement at any time on 60 days’ notice. This agreement may be renewed or extended upon request of any signatory and approval of all signatories. This is a non-financial agreement. Purpose of this MOU is to continue the conservation partnership previously established by a 2007 MOU to maintain and, where feasible and appropriate, enhance the breeding bald eagle population in Arizona.
