IGA WITH CITY OF PHOENIX FOR THE SUN CIRCLE TRAIL Approve and execute the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the City of Phoenix (COP) and Maricopa County (County) for a portion of the Sun Circle Trail Segment 1 (SCT). This agreement also provides for the County’s Director of Parks and Recreation or designee with the authority and charged with the responsibility for proper administration of the agreement. This IGA will establish a partnership between the County and City to realign the 1964 SCT multi-modal trail section that followed the Aqua Fria River in the west valley onto an alignment that is already improved with an established trail, that is part of the COP pathway system. This SCT is a connecting piece trail that connects the City of Avondale and the City of Glendale, through neighboring jurisdictions. The term of the agreement shall continue until terminated by either Party upon thirty (30) days prior written notice. This item is located in Supervisorial District 5. (C-30-21-027-X-00)
