37. REIMBURSEMENT OF RELOCATION EXPENSES POLICY Approve Reimbursement of Relocation Expenses Policy. This policy sets forth the process a department must follow if it proposes to offer reimbursement of relocation and moving expenses as a recruitment incentive, as well as all requirements and limitations that apply to the reimbursement of relocation and moving expenses for new hires. 35. REVISIONS TO POLICY HR2412 - REIMBURSEMENT OF RELOCATION AND MOVING EXPENSES FOR NEW HIRES Approve the revisions to the Maricopa County Reimbursement of Relocation and Moving Expenses for New Hires Policy (HR2412) effective March 26, 2018. These revisions rename the policy to Moving Expenses Reimbursement Policy, simplify the policy’s language, add the reimbursement of temporary housing not to exceed $1,500, add the reimbursement of storage expenses incurred within 30 consecutive days after the move, and modify the tax language for consistency with new tax laws (reimbursements are now taxable). This policy was originally approved by the Board on December 15, 2010 (C-31-11-006-6-00). This revision replaces all previous moving expenses policies and revisions approved by the Board of Supervisors or the County Manager. (C-31-11-006-6-01)
