A-1. EMPLOYEES ASSISTING AND SUPPORTING EMPLOYEES (E.A.S.E) POLICY REVISIONS Approve the revisions to the Employees Assisting and Supporting Employees (E.A.S.E) Policy revisions. The revisions include: • Added: The E.A.S.E. Administrator is appointed by the Assistant County Manager over Human Services to manage the E.A.S.E. program. • Removed inclusion of employees of the Superior Court from definition of Employee. • Added a non-voting committee member to the EASE Committee to be appointed by the Assistant CM over Human Services and changed the other non-voting member to be from the Human Services Department appointed by the Human Services Appointing Authority. • Added: “In the event of a tie vote the EASE Administrator shall make the final determination.” EASE can only be received twice in one lifetime. Approve revisions to Policy HR2426 Employees Assisting and Supporting Employees (E.A.S.E.) with a retroactive effective date of January 1, 2021, to incorporate the following change: • Extend deadline from December 31, 2020 to June 30, 2021 of provision to allow the COVID-19 pandemic as a Crisis Reason for eligible County employees to apply for support for loss of income and unexpected paid expenses. 18. REVISION OF COUNTY POLICY HR2426 EMPLOYEES ASSISTING AND SUPPORTING EMPLOYEES (E.A.S.E.) Approve revisions to Policy HR2426 Employees Assisting and Supporting Employees (E.A.S.E.) with a retroactive effective date of January 1, 2021, to incorporate the following change: • Extend deadline from December 31, 2020 to June 30, 2021 of provision to allow the COVID-19 pandemic as a Crisis Reason for eligible County employees to apply for support for loss of income and unexpected paid expenses.
