56. IGA WITH CITY OF PHOENIX FOR COMMUNITY SAFETY AND HEALTH EVENTS Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) in an amount not-to-exceed $8,000 with the City of Phoenix to support at least four community safety and health events focusing on youth and their families in high-risk neighborhoods. This Agreement shall commence on the date of execution and terminate on June 30, 2014. These Community Safety and Health events, sponsored jointly by Maricopa County and the City of Phoenix, will be held at Phoenix parks within high-risk neighborhoods, including, but not limited to, Hermoso Park, Hayden Park and Lindo Park. These events will enhance the County’s youth-and family-focused activities associated with the County’s juvenile crime prevention strategic priority. These funds will reimburse the City of Phoenix for unbudgeted staff salaries, recreational activities, refreshments and participant incentives. (C-31-13-021-3-00)
