50. RESCIND PLACEMENT IN RANGE POLICY (B7009) AND EXECUTIVE SALARY POLICY (B7010) AND REPLACE BOTH WITH MARICOPA COUNTY EMPLOYEE PAY POLICY (HR2473) Approve the Maricopa County Employee Pay Policy (HR2473) effective October 10, 2018. This policy applies to all employees of Maricopa County elected offices and appointed departments as well as the Flood Control District of Maricopa County, the Maricopa County Library District, and the Maricopa County Stadium District (Special Districts). This policy outlines the strategy for determining employees’ salaries based on competitive market data and the individual credentials of candidates; allows departments to make job offers within the first quartile of approved salary ranges to expedite the selection process. Rescind the Maricopa County Placement in Range Policy (B7009) and the Maricopa County Executive Salary Policy (B7010). The Employee Pay Policy (HR2473) will replace both of these policies.
