RECORDER'S OFFICE REQUEST FOR REVIEW OVER BASELINE BUDGET Approve an exception to the FY 2020 Budget Guidelines and Priorities allowing the Budget Office to review and analyze the following Recorder's Office requests over Baseline for the General Fund totaling $1,170,454. 1. $1,044,160 in Fund 100 (General Fund) Operating 2. $126,294 in Fund 100 (General Fund) Non-Recurring Review of the following operating items is requested: • The addition of $331,270 in Administrative Services payroll allocations that we propose be transferred to the Recorder’s Office budget from the Elections Department’s budget • $94,159 for one new GIS Programmer/Analyst Market Range Title/position • $225,998 for four new Voter Registration Specialist positions (Market Range Title: Office Assistant Specialized) • $71,596 for one new Custodian of Public Recorders position (Market Range Title: Administrative/Operations Specialist) • $71,596 for one new Constituent Correspondent position (Market Range Title: Administrative/Operations Specialist) • $175,077 funding to increase the base pay of all Office Assistant Specialized MRTs in the Recorder’s Office by 20%, inclusive of the Voter Registration, Recording, and GIS departments • $70,369 funding for equity adjustments for remaining MRTs in the Voter Registration, Recording, and GIS departments • $4,095 for yearly GIS plotter supply expenses Review of the following one-time items is requested: • $35,825 for two new plotters for printing of maps by the GIS/Mapping Services division • $90,469 funding, part carried forward from fiscal year 2019 and part new funding, for three Recorder Office Assistants (temporary staff) (C-36-19-004-M-00)
