20. GRANT FUNDS FROM ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION FOR PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH Approve the application for and acceptance of the Title I - Part D – Neglected or Delinquent – LEA from the Arizona Department of Education in the amount of $88,034.93. The purpose of this grant is to provide prevention and intervention programs for children and youth who are neglected, delinquent, or at-risk. The Grant period is from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016. Maricopa County Educational Service Agency's (MCESA) indirect rate for 2016 is 8.5%. MCESA's approved indirect cost rate for this grant is 1.21%. The total indirect costs are $7,393.51. Estimated unallowable indirect costs are $6,341.02 and allowable indirect costs are $1,052.49. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. This action does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. (C-37-16-012-G-00)
