23. GRANT FUNDS FROM THE ASPEN INSTITUTE FOR 100K DEMONSTRATION CITY GRANT Accept a grant from the Aspen Institute Opportunity Youth Incentive Fund for 100K Opportunities Demonstration City Grant in the amount of $150,000. The purpose of this grant is for convening cross-sector collaboratives focused on improving education and career outcomes for opportunity youth. Opportunity youth are defined as young adults ages 16-24 who are neither in-school nor working (with or without a high school credential). The Grant period is from December 1, 2016 through November 30, 2017. Maricopa County Education Service Agency's indirect rate for 2017 is 9.6%. Maricopa County Education Service Agency's approved indirect cost rate for this grant is 7.0% of personnel cost ($31,000). The allowable indirect costs are $2,170.00. The estimated unallowable indirect costs are $806.00. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. This action does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. (C-37-17-009-G-00)
