16. APPLY AND ACCEPT THE SCHOOL’S INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS GRANT FROM STATE FARM® Approve the application for and acceptance of $38,466 for the School’s Information Technology Program Grant from State Farm®. The term of this grant is July 1, 2021 through December 31, 2024. The grant will create a centralized makerspace to train Maricopa County educators on how to use various tools in standards-based instruction. Authorize the Chairman to sign all documents related to these grant funds, as applicable. The grant award is One-time, and a cash or in-kind match is not applicable. MCSS’s indirect rate for FY 2022 is 18.3 percent. The indirect cost rate allowed by this grant source is 0.0 percent. Total indirect costs on this award are $7,039.28 which are unallowable. No budget adjustment is required and ongoing cash contributions not applicable. There are no costs that will need to be absorbed by the department’s operating budget. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. This action does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. (C-37-22-026-X-00)
