31. COMPETITION IMPRACTICABLE WITH EDUCATION EVOLVING Approve and execute a one-year Competitive Impracticable contract (“Contract”) between Maricopa County, administered by the Office of County School Superintendent (“County”), and Education Evolving, a non-profit organization, (“Contractor”). The County and the Contractor are collectively referred to here as the “Parties” and individually as a “Party.” The services Education Evolving provides are essential for successful implementation of the Maricopa County Teacher Powered School Network a collaboration between the Maricopa County School Superintendent, Empower Schools and Teacher-Powered Schools. This item accompanies and is essential to four IGA's and one agreement with local school districts and a local charter school to implement the Teacher Powered School Network. Funding for the MCTPSN is provided by the Arizona Department of Education through an ESSER LEA Capacity Building Support Grant. Educational leaders and teachers will be utilizing tools that have been customized to the goals of the grant. Finding a comparable partner that could support the scopes of work, in this time frame, is impractical and would jeopardize the project as a whole . The County will provide the Contractor with $175,000 provided by the Arizona Department of Education through an ESSER LEA Capacity Building Support Grant. The Contract term shall begin on the effective date, July 1, 2022 and expire on June 30, 2023. The CI has been approved by the Office of Procurement Services. (C-37-23-032-X-00)
