32. WELLNESS PROGRAMS AND BENEFIT INCENTIVE RATES FOR FY 2013-14 Approve the wellness health benefit premium incentives, per Exhibit A, to encourage employee’s healthy behavior and health status awareness. Incentive reductions continue to be offered to employees covered by a County medical plan, who voluntarily participate in the Health Assessment and Biometric Screening, as well as for non-tobacco users. The distribution of wellness health benefit premium incentives is being changed to more effectively to increase awareness about potential medical issues and thus lower medical claims costs. Total available incentives remain unchanged in Plan Year 2013-2014 at $60.00 per month but the non-tobacco use incentive has been reduced from $40.00 to $20.00 per month; the biometric screening incentive has been increased from $10.00 to $20.00 per month; and the health risk assessment incentive has been increased from $10.00 to $20.00 per month.
