A-2. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS SETTLEMENT Approve the third-party recovery settlement of $12,500.00 in Employee Benefits Case No. 18086886 for medical and related claims. The Employee Benefits Trust paid $533,546.75 in medical and related claims for a covered individual who was involved in a motorcycle accident. A third-party recovery was obtained from the tortfeasor by the injured party in the amount of $25,000.00. Compromise of the County’s lien must be approved by the Board of Supervisors per the Maricopa County Trust Declaration. The Board is requested to approve the settlement of the third-party reimbursement. This item was discussed in executive session on August 11, 2014. (C-39-15-001-2-00)
