29. APPOINTMENT, RESIGNATIONS AND UPDATES TO THE RYAN WHITE PLANNING COUNCIL Approve the appointment of John Welch – Alternate for Bruce Weiss, Service Provider, Southwest Center for HIV, to the Ryan White Planning Council for the remainder of Bruce’s term (January 7, 2017); correct the record to reflect that Council member Bruce Weiss is a full member, not an alternate; and accept the resignations of Thomas Awai, Rebecca Barnett, and Robert Solis from the Ryan White Part A Planning Council, effective September 17, 2014, September 26, 2014, and October 8, 2014 respectively. Consistent with Article III of the Bylaws of the Phoenix EMA Ryan White Planning Council and after satisfactory completion of the pre-screening processes approved by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors for existing and new Planning Council members, the County Manager recommends the appointment of John Welch – Alternate for Bruce Weiss, Service Provider, to the Ryan White Planning Council for the remainder of Bruce’s term (January 7, 2017), effective on the date of the BOS approval. The Membership Committee of the Ryan White Planning Council has confirmed that the individuals listed above represent membership categories consistent with the Council Bylaws and federally mandated membership requirements.
