A-1. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS SETTLEMENT Approve the third-party recovery settlement of $5,000.00 in Employee Benefits Case No. 19536737 for medical and related claims. The Employee Benefits Trust paid $156,424.07 in medical and related claims for a covered individual who was alleged to have been injured when struck by a motor vehicle. A third-party recovery was obtained from the alleged tortfeasor by the injured party. Compromise of the County’s lien must be approved by the Board of Supervisors per the Maricopa County Trust Declaration. The Board is requested to approve the settlement of the third-party reimbursement. This item was heard in executive session on June 6, 2016. (C-39-16-024-S-00)
