A-2. UTILIZATION OF EMPLOYEE-OWNED DEVICES FOR COUNTY BUSINESS POLICY - PILOT PROGRAM Approve policy A1613: Pilot Program to Use Employee-Owned Devices for County Business. This new policy seeks to establish a pilot program in which employees can use their personally owned mobile devices to access County information resources. The pilot program seeks to test the program with up to four (4) County departments and anticipates a final adopted policy that supports a “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) option to County employees. The pilot will provide additional guidance to enhance/clarify the policy as well as insight into the number of employees who sign up for the program. The pilot will run through May 2013. The objective is to put a final policy on the June 2013 Board agenda for consideration. (C-41-13-005-6-00)
