48. MICROSOFT ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT Approve the expenditure of an amount not-to-exceed $46,146,911 with Microsoft over the next three fiscal years. The purpose of the Agreement is to ensure the County has no disruption in the continued use and authorized licensing of Microsoft products including Windows, Office, Exchange (email), and SharePoint. The Agreement will be in effective from August 1, 2026, until July 31, 2029. The current Agreement with Microsoft expires on July 31, 2026; therefore, the renewal is necessary to ensure continued and authorized licensing of Microsoft products including Windows Operating Systems, Office Applications, and Office 365 Features and Tools which include email, SharePoint, and OneDrive. The Agreement is the result of extensive analysis completed by the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement Subcommittee led by Enterprise Technology and Innovation and comprised of members of other departments including the Attorney's Office, Sheriff's Office, Clerk of the Superior Court, Superior Court, Transportation, and the Assessor's Office. The Agreement supports the County's use of Microsoft Server technologies, Windows Desktops, and Office 365 hosted services. Also, authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to sign the County’s Enterprise Agreement (Agreement) and all related Enrollment Agreements for County departments/agencies. Direct the Office of Budget and Finance to increase the budget each fiscal year in alignment with the pricing terms outlined in the contract and nominal increases due to the purchase of additional licenses.
