18. EXCEPTION TO THE MARICOPA COUNTY POST EMPLOYMENT HEALTH PLAN ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM (PEHPEP) Approve an exception to the Maricopa County Post Employment Health Plan Enhancement Program (PEHPEP) to allow the Treasurer’s Office to pay Charlotte Stevens, an employee who retired under the PEHPEP above the minimum of her position’s market range with an effective date of June 28, 2010. Charlotte Stevens retired under the County’s PEHPEP on 4/4/09 and was rehired at the minimum of the Call Center Representative range. On 6/28/10, she transferred to the Treasurer’s Office as an Office Assistant making $11.00; above the minimum of the Office Assistant MRT ($10.72). According to the County’s PEHPEP, an employee who retires under the PEHPEP can only make the minimum of the salary range. As the Treasurer’s Office did not notice this, they are requesting an exception the PEHPEP retroactively to 6/28/10 allowing Charlotte Stevens to make $11.00 (2.5% above the minimum of the Office Assistant MRT).
