61. WAIVER TO POLICY B7002 - SALARY ADVANCEMENTS Approve an exception to the Maricopa County Salary Advancement Policy Section VI.D. to allow a salary advancement to be effective retroactively to January 3, 2011 for Robert Fedorka, an Engineer in Planning & Development, as a result of an equity review, changing his hourly rate from $31.25 to $33.07. Upon hire on January 3, 2011, Robert Fedorka was offered a rate of $31.25 that did not take into consideration some experience that should have been credited which would have resulted in a higher offer of $33.07. Because of this, there is an inequity in the department and the department has been limited in making offers to more recent hires. Correcting this rate will allow the department to make appropriate offers for future hires in this Market Range Title and will also pay Mr. Fedorka the rate that is appropriate given his experience.
