8. PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT HEARING (ORDINANCE NO. P-32 / MEDICAL MARIJUANA) Convene the scheduled public hearing to solicit comments and consider the adoption of Ordinance No. P-32 and text amendments to the Maricopa County Zoning Ordinance (P-18) regarding Medical Marijuana. TA2013014 - Medical Mariju ana Supervisorial District: All Applicant: Commission initiated Request: A new ordinance, Ordinance No. P-32 regarding Medical Marijuana; and related text amendments to the Maricopa County Zoning Ordinance (MCZO). This is a new ordinance to become effective immediately upon adoption pursuant to A.R.S. § 11-813 G Staff Recommendation: Approve Commission Recommendation: Unknown as of the writing of this report but scheduled for the January 9, 2014 Commission hearing with a recommendation for approval per staff recommendation of the proposed ordinance/language attached to staff’s report to the Commission. An alternate version of the proposed ordinance from that reviewed and recommended by the Planning & Zoning Commission will also be presented. (C-44-14-044-M-00)
