PZ-6. ACCESSORY RECREATIONAL STRUCTURES (CONT. FROM 4/20/16) Case #: TA2015004 Supervisor District: All Applicant: Commission-initiated Request: Text Amendment to the Maricopa County Zoning Ordinance, Articles 501.2 & 601.2 regarding recreational structures accessory to single family residences and other primary uses in the Rural and Single Family Residential zoning districts. The current rule speaks to tennis courts but is silent to other specific structures. The purpose of this amendment is to clarify the articles apply to all accessory recreational structures. The amendment lessens regulatory burden by increasing the maximum height of accessory residential structures from 12' to 14'. The amendment is more fully described in the attached exhibits. Commission Recommendation: On 3/24/16, the Commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval of TA2015004. (C-44-16-071-M-00)
