5 . APPROPRIATION OF RICO FUNDS FOR SHERIFF'S OFFICE Establish FY 2011 Sheriff (500) Sheriff RICO Fund (212) Operating (0000) revenue and expenditure appropriations of $1,327,500. RICO revenue is not local revenue for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore expenditure of this revenue is not prohibited by budget law. This budget adjustment does not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. 42-17105. All RICO expenditures are to be reviewed and approved by the County Attorney’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office formerly maintained an outside bank account for RICO in addition to its budgeted account. The Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Finance are permanently closing the outside account, and beginning immediately all RICO transactions will be posted to the Treasurer’s system.
