32. MARICOPA COUNTY COMPENSATION PLAN REVISIONS Approve the revisions to the Maricopa County Compensation Plan effective December 15, 2010. The Maricopa County Compensation Plan Policy (B7000) dated December 15, 2010, cleans-up the language form the previous plan and replaces the Maricopa County Compensation Plan which was approved by the Board of Supervisors on June 9, 1997 (C3197013801) and revised on December 16, 1998 (C31990286), February 3, 1999 (C31990346), July 26, 2000 (C31010036), August 9, 2000 (C31010076), and December 20, 2006 (C3507011600). This policy also replaces all previous compensation plans and revisions approved by the Board of Supervisor and/or the County Manager. (C-49-11-036-6-00)

48. CHANGES TO POLICY B7000, COMPENSATION POLICY Approve the requested revisions to B7000. These revisions refine the process for granting additional leave by incorporating Board authorized limits for Executive Compensation Packages (ECP). These revisions also establish Board authorized criteria for Leave Adjustment Incentives(LAI) necessary to address critical recruitment and retention concerns. These policy changes promote the departments’ ability to recruit and retain the most highly qualified employees by making available an incentive, beyond pay, that will help make the departments more competitive in the market place. Departments unable to meet their needs within these Board approved guidelines will be required to present their case individually to the Board as an exception to this policy. (C-49-11-036-6-01)
