18. AGREEMENT WITH ARIZONA AUTO THEFT AUTHORITY FOR THE 2009/2010 LAW ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM Approve the Agreement and acceptance of $11,500 in grant funding from the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority, 2009/2010 Law Enforcement Grant Number: 2010-LE.AZ0070000.01. The term of this agreement is July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. Also, approve exception to the Technology Finance Program (TFP) for the one-time purchase of a BSM Stinger for the Bait Vehicle, estimated cost $3,300. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY2010 is 16.6%. Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this grant are estimated to be $1,909. (C-50-09-083-G-00)

17. VEHICLE USE AGREEMENT WITH NATIONAL INSURANCE CRIME BUREAU AND TEMPORARY ADDITION TO FLEET Approve the Vehicle Use Agreement between the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and a temporary addition to the fleet of a 1995 Honda Civic. The term of this Agreement is through September 28, 2012. This vehicle will be used for a designated purpose in association with the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority (AATA) Law Enforcement Program. Also approve exemptions from markings in accordance with A.R.S. §38-538.03 and the use of undercover plates. This vehicle will not be a take home vehicle and will only be used to conduct suppression details. The estimated annual operating costs of this vehicle is $500 to be supported through the Arizona Auto Theft Authority (AATA) grant (Agenda C-50-09-083-G-00) approved by the Board of Supervisors on June 17, 2009. This is a temporary addition to the fleet and the vehicle will be returned or a new vehicle use agreement will be submitted for approval and there will be no funding from the general fund for its replacement.
