7. ACCEPT GRANT FUNDS FROM THE CITY OF PHOENIX, PHOENIX OFFICE OF ARTS AND CULTURE Approve acceptance of up to $2,000 in funding from the City of Phoenix, Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture, for the “Thoughtful Warrior” Youth Development Project. The term of this funding is July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. These funds will be used for the Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Education Section to engage students in an arts education partnership with the Cultural Arts Coalition to develop programming to help reduce student recidivism. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY10 is 16.6%. Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this funding are estimated to be $332. The entire project cost is $4,000 whereby, $2,000 will be funded by the grant and $2,000 by the Jail Education Entitlement fund (251/5930). (C-50-10-017-G-00)
