15. ACCEPT FUNDS FROM ARIZONA PEACE OFFICER STANDARDS AND TRAINING BOARD PEACE OFFICER TRAINING BOARD FOR E-LEARNING NETWORK Approve the acceptance of $6,120 per the attached agreement and approve an aggregate total of phased awards up to $90,143.28 in grant funding from the Arizona Peace Officers Standard and Training Board, Peace Officers Training Fund for the purpose of expanding and upgrading the E-Learning Network. Also authorize the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to sign subsequent award documents associated with this project as the funding for the overall project will be awarded in distinct phases and increments. The term of this funding is the date of Board of Supervisors approval through June 30, 2010. Finally, approve an exception to the Technology Finance Program (TFP) that allows the Sheriff’s Office to proceed with the purchase of computer servers, network and production equipment for the expansion and upgrading of the E-Learning Network. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate is 16.6% for FY2010. Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this grant are estimated to be $14,963.78. A list of the planned expenses is also attached to this document. This project is dependent upon funding awarded. (C-50-10-059-G-00)

A-1. ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM THE ARIZONA PEACE OFFICER STANDARDS AND TRAINING BOARD, PEACE OFFICER TRAINING FUND GRANT AGREEMENT – E-LEARNING NETWORK Approve the acceptance of up to $6,789 in additional grant funding from the Arizona Peace Officers Standard and Training Board, Peace Officers Training Fund Grant Agreement. This will increase funding from $90,000.00 to $96,789. The original item was approved by the Board of Supervisors on November 18, 2009 (C-50-10-059-G-00). The term of this funding is November 24, 2009 through June 30, 2010. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate is 16.6% for FY2010. Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this additional funding are estimated to be $1,126.97. This funding is for the expansion and upgrading of the E-Learning computer servers, network and production equipment. (C-50-10-059-G-01)
