17. EXEMPTION TO POST EMPLOYMENT (RETIREMENT) HEALTH PLAN ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM Approve an exemption to the Post Employment (Retirement) Health Plan Enhancement Program (PEHPEP), approved by the Board of Supervisors on November 16, 2009, and allow Senior Systems Network Administrator, Lead PCN 11681, general funded, classified, to remain an active position in the Sheriff's Office (MCSO). Also, approve an exemption to the PEHPEP in order to recruit for the Senior Systems Network Administrator, Lead PCN 11681 with a hiring range of $26.52 per hour to $36.29 per hour. The PEHPEP requires that positions vacated as a result of the Program participation be inactivated. MCSO has determined that maintaining this position is critical to the execution and success of technology operations of the Sheriff's Office and to meeting the Sheriff's Office mission. Recruiting at this range and filling this position will create no additional cost to the MCSO regular salaries line. The annualized salary savings for this position as required by policy is $17,017.
