19. EXEMPTION TO POST EMPLOYMENT (RETIREMENT) HEALTH PLAN ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM FOR EMERGENCY DISPATCHER SUPERVISOR Approve an exemption to the Post Employment (Retirement) Health Plan Enhancement Program (PEHEP), approved by the Board of Supervisors on November 16, 2009, and allow Emergency Dispatcher Supervisor, PCN 02212, fund 100, classified, to remain an active position in the Sheriff's Office (MCSO). Also, approve an exemption to the PEHPEP in order to recruit for the Emergency Dispatcher Supervisor, PCN 02212, with a hiring range of $21.22 per hour to $25.75 per hour. The PEHEP requires that positions vacated as a result of the program participation be inactivated. MCSO has determined that maintaining this position is critical to the execution and success of Sheriff's emergency dispatch operations and to meeting the Sheriff's Office mission. Recruiting at this range and filling this position will create no additional cost to the MCSO regular salaries line. The minimum annualized salary savings for this position as required by policy is estimated to be $7,458. (C-50-10-099-M-00)
