7. CANINE RETIREMENT AND TRANSFER OF PERMANENT CUSTODY Approve the retirement of Canine, Cevin K-73, and the permanent transfer of custody to County Sheriff's Office Deputy T. Heimgartner. This canine has been treated for Valley Fever, is unsteady on his back legs and a full recovery is uncertain. As he can no longer serve as a police dog, the Sheriff's Office recommends that he be retired and transferred to the custody of Deputy Heimgartner. Deputy Heimgartner will be asked to sign a Canine Program Release and Indemnity Agreement. (C-50-10-112-M-00)
