18. AGREEMENT WITH THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR THE 2010 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM, RRT (RAPID RESPONSE TEAM) ENHANCEMENT PROJECT – 777813-04 Approve an Agreement with the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) for the 2010 Homeland Security Grant Program, RRT Enhancement (Project # 777813-04) and acceptance of up to $250,000. The term of this award is October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011. Also, approve a one-time addition to the fleet of one Armored Rescue Vehicle that was specifically requested through this funding to provide hazards response capabilities. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY2011 is 14% ($35,000). This is a capital purchase (930) therefore there are no indirect costs associated with this Agreement. The estimated annual operating cost of this vehicle is $3,675.00 to be supported through Enforcement Operations, Patrol Resources Bureau, SWAT/High Risk Responses General Fund (100). This is a one-time addition to the fleet and the vehicle will be retired at the end of its useful life with no funding from the general fund for its replacement. (C-50-11-036-G-00)
