19. AGREEMENT WITH THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR THE 2010 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM, AVIATION ILLUMINATION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – 777208-01 Approve an Agreement with the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) for the 2010 Homeland Security Grant Program, Aviation Illumination Improvement (Project # 777208-01) and acceptance of up to $84,136. The term of this award is October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011. Approval of this Agreement and acceptance of funding will enable the Sheriff’s Office to purchase a helicopter illumination device to be installed on Fox 1 to enhance night time emergency responses and support the high risk responsibilities of the Rapid Response Team. This is new funding that will impact the overall Sheriff's Grant Fund appropriation. Therefore, a Sheriff's Grant Fund (251) reconciliation that includes this item is submitted to the Board for approval under separate cover. These revenues are not "local revenues" for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore expenditure of the funds is not prohibited by the budget law. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY2011 is 14% ($11,779.04). This is a capital purchase (920) therefore there are no indirect costs associated with this Agreement. (C-50-11-039-G-00)
