16. K-9 UNIT DONATION Accept the donation from the Sun City Posse to the Maricopa County Sheriff of one K-9, Kimber, a 75-pound, bloodhound, valued at $4,000. Kimber will be used in rescuing lost persons,assisting deputies in crime and drug cases, and helping in the jails when cell searches for contraband are required. Kimber replaces CASH, another bloodhound who was recently euthanized following medical complications, after having been part of the K-9 Unit for nine years. K-9 operations are covered within the Sheriff's normal appropriations. (C-50-11-049-M-00)
