16. APPROPRIATION INCREASE FOR DONATIONS FUND Approve per A.R.S. §42-17106B an appropriation increase of $20,000 in expenditure to the Sheriff's Office (50) Donations Fund (203) Non-Recurring/Non-Project (0001) for FY 2011. This will result in a revised total appropriation of $46,300. Donations revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, therefore, expenditure of these revenues is not prohibited by the budget law. This budget adjustment does not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the board. Funding for this increase will result in a decrease to the Donations Fund balance of $20,000. This action will allow the Sheriffs Office to expend donations funds to pay for veterinary expenses incurred by the M.A.S.H. unit for animals that were taken into Sheriff's Office custody as a result of criminal animal abuse cases.
